Keynotes: David Murrow and Ted Roberts
David Murrow founded Church for Men in 2005. Murrow is not a pastor, professor, or theologian. He's just a guy in the pews who noticed a disturbing trend: churches are losing their men and boys. So he wrote the book, "Why Men Hate Going to Church", which became in instant bestseller, with more than 100,000 copies in print. His efforts have spawned articles in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Chicago Tribune, to name a few. He has appeared on PBS, the NBC Nightly News, and the Fox News Channel talking about the gender gap. He is a noted speaker and somewhat controversial. He and his wife live in Chugiak, Alaska.
Dr. Ted Roberts came to the Lord as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. He was called to the Pastoral ministry after his return to the United States. He has served in a multiplicity of ministries, from chairman of the Theology department at a bible college, Staff Pastor, Director of a Counseling Ministry, to his present position as Founder of Pure Desire Ministries International. He is the author of "Failing Forward," "For Men Only," "The Courageous Fight for Healthy Sexuality," "Pure Desire," "Living Life Boldly," "Going Deeper" co-authored with Pam Vredevelt, "Sexy Christians" co-authored with his wife Diane and his new publication, which will be released in May.
NOTE: Besides our keynote speakers, we will have two “breakout” sessions with eight workshops to choose from on topics designed to meet the needs of men.
