FAMILY PLANNING CONFERENCE: We Got A Lot Goin' On!"

Welcome to the 2015 Family Planning Conference! The Family Planning Conference is designed with the goal of providing participants with an opportunity to gain new information, discuss emerging issues, network with colleagues, and exchange cost-effective strategies for identifying the health concerns affecting their clients. Our theme is "We Got A Lot Goin' On!."

This year we are pleased to welcome Sue Moskosky, Director of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Family Planning! Ms. Moskosky will help us celebrate the 40th year of the Family Planning Conference and provide us with insights about what's going on in the world of Title X family planning and reproductive health care services.

Conference Objectives:   

• Discuss how LGBTQ barriers, concerns, and health disparities impact health;
• Discuss common patient complaints regarding LARC methods;
• Understand the biological changes of an adolescent brain;
• Discuss the changing epidemiology of syphilis in Iowa; and
• Identify health status and policy areas where Iowa is leading other states and can serve as a model to other states on issues related to sexual and reproductive health.

Target Audience: Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Counselors, Health Educators and Administrators
