Congregation Or Ami welcomes the new Jewish year 5776 with our own special High Holy Day services at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in the Fred Kavli Theatre. Rabbi Paul Kipnes, Cantor Doug Cotler, and Rabbi Julia Weisz will officiate. Services will be enhanced by both musical accompaniment and the voices of our chorale. Dates, times and other information are here.
Evening and morning services for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur require tickets for each worshipper. Family services in the afternoon, Tashlich, Yizkor (memorial) and Neilah (concluding) services do not require tickets. Please order your High Holy Day tickets no later than August 24, 2015. * For security reasons, no one will be admitted without a ticket.
We welcome families at Or Ami services. However, our Holy Day services are designed primarily as adult worship experiences and may be inappropriate for children under age 9. We invite all ages to attend our community family services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at 2:15 pm, Tashlich experience at Paradise Cove on Rosh Hashanah afternoon, and our Yom Kippur concluding services at 5:30 pm.
Thank you for ordering your tickets. The income from these ticket purchases helps defray the costs of renting the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. All tickets will be color coded and checked at the door. We look forward to a wonderful worship experience together as we prepare ourselves spiritually for the coming year.
Prayer Books: Or Ami is unable to loan High Holy Day Machzor (prayer books), Gates of Light.
Please purchase copies of the prayerbook using this form.
We look forward to sharing the High Holy Days 5776 together as a meaningful and enriching experience for all.
