Right now, citizens all over the state are building grassroots campaigns to pass state policies during the 2016 legislative session relating to children and families, healthy lifestyles, community development, tax policies and a myriad of other issues.

They're part of the Our Children, Our Future Campaign, working together on policies, organizing and leadership development to end child poverty in West Virginia.

On September 14th and 15th, these grassroots campaigns are coming together for the annual Our Children, Our Future Statewide Policy Summit in Charleston. We are searching for community leaders, agencies and organizations from across WV to join us. We're looking for you.

27 issue teams have signed up to present at the Statewide Policy Summit on September 14th and 15th on topics ranging from college affordability to juvenile justice reform to tax credits for working families.

Come join other community leaders from across West Virginia to hear about the issues that have momentum this year. You will learn what you can do to get involved with some of these exciting initiatives! You will also have the chance to meet and speak with local leaders, youth and legislators - and a chance to ask them what their priorities are and where they stand on legislative issues. We hope this event will assist community members to form a powerful and effective ally for children and families throughout West Virginia.
