Situational Judgment Tests (SJTs) and SJT items offer a means to gauge the fit of a candidate’s qualifications and skill set to the requirements of the job in an efficient, cost-effective manner. This course provides testing and HR professionals with an overview of the design and use of situational judgment tests and the value of this style of candidate assessment. This course includes an introduction to SJT items and testing, a methodology for developing SJT items, and a structured means of identifying appropriate content and KSAs to measure with SJT testing, as well as an acceptable pass point setting methodology. Participants will have the opportunity to develop and refine SJT items with hands-on exercises coupled with interactive, engaging lecture and discussion.
