The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence
Shop, beg or borrow some high-heels for the third annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Park City! Every year an increasing number of men, women and their families join Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a playful opportunity to raise awareness about a deadly serious matter: domestic violence.
Our stroll in fancy shoes begins at the gazebo in City Park and continues south on Poison Creek Trail to Main Street, through Park Silly Sunday Market, east on Heber Avenue, and north on the Poison Creek Trail, back to the City Park gazebo. Prizes await the man sporting the most fabulous high heels, the best pedicure, etc.
In addition to walkers for the cause, volunteer "soles" serving as Blister Sisters are being actively recruited to help participants walk the walk.
Shop for large sizes of appropriate, albeit uncomfortable, footwear at the Christian Center and other local thrift stores. But if you cannot find the shoes for you, we will have an assortment of shoes to borrow.
We thank the Park Silly Sunday Market for allowing us to parade through their booths. Other Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® sponsorship opportunities are available.
