The NJ Environmental Justice Alliance wants to connect with you and others across the state as part of our strategic planning process to help shape the future of our organization. What can NJEJA do to more effectively meet the needs of impacted communities across NJ? We would like to hear directly from individuals and organizations working on environmental and social justice issues. We need your help to create a future for New Jersey where all of our residents have a healthy and safe environment in which to live. We are hosting a community meeting in Trenton next month. We hope you will consider joining us for a bite to eat and a conversation that will guide the future of NJEJA.

Our Mission: The New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance (NJEJA) is an alliance of New Jersey-based organizations and individuals committed to working together to create healthy, sustainable and just communities by eliminating environmental injustices in low income and communities of color. Together we support and work with communities through local, state, and national policy development, targeted campaigns and organizing, education, advocacy, training and technical assistance focused on critical environmental justice issues. The NJEJA is not only geographically diverse but is also the only statewide environmental organization in New Jersey that has a significant number of people of color in its membership and leadership. This diversity is one of the NJEJA's most important assets and allows it to bring a unique perspective to issues that is otherwise often absent in mainstream environmental policy discussions within New Jersey. Please visit www.njeja.org for more information about our work. |
