Please join us for a one hour continental breakfast event. Our guest speaker will be New York Times best-selling author Andre Dubus III. Mr. Dubus will share stories of his childhood growing up in post-industrial Haverhill, MA, in the 1970's. His memoire, Townie, recounts many of these stories. It was not easy for him. In order to survive, he worked out so that he could fight back. His stories are similiar to those of some of the families we serve in Sullivan and Grafton Counties.
Your participation in this event and your donations will support our ongoing work with low-income families. Good Beginnings of Sullivan County is a 23 year old agency committed to preventing child abuse in our region of New Hampshire. We depend on donations from people like you in order to provide our home visiting/parent education programs throughout our region.
It does not cost to register for the event but please note that we will be asking for donations on the day of the event.
