You are cordially invited to participate in the School Dropout Prevention Summit 2015 on September 9th and 10th, 2015, in Washington, D.C. The Summit is hosted by the School Dropout Prevention Pilot Program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Creative Associates International.
School dropout is a growing problem around the world. In many countries, there are more out-of-school children who have dropped out of school than those who have never enrolled.
The School Dropout Prevention Summit 2015 will examine status and factors that affect dropout in developing and developed countries, explore the ramifications of school dropout, and present research, approaches and interventions to address school dropout. It will include expert presentations on dropout and related issues, panel discussions, open fora, and interactive displays of interventions. Findings from the School Dropout Prevention Pilot Program, an applied research project aimed at reducing dropout, will be shared by the country teams and ministries of education during the conference, along with other program strategies and research. Approximately 200 participants are expected to attend, including representatives from ministries of education from the Asia and Middle East regions, USAID and other donors, the development community, and dropout prevention specialists, implementers and researchers.
Further information will be provided upon registration.
