2015 DEP-PACD Annual 102-105 Training Meeting

The 2015 DEP-PACD 102-105 Training Meeting will take place in State College, PA on Oct. 6-8, 2015 at the Ramada Conference Center. This training is open to DEP and Conservation District staff only. Click "Register Now" below to register. 

DEP and PACD have worked together to coordinate and plan this event. Questions regarding the meeting should be directed to Jill Whitcomb with DEP at jiwhitcomb@pa.gov or 717-772-5668 or to Terry Fisher with PACD at tfisher@pacd.org or 717-728-7223.

Hard copy certificates of completion will not be handed out at the conclusion of this year's training. Individuals can receive an electronic version of the certificate via email after the training takes place. Please check the "yes" box on the registration form if you would like to receive an electronic copy of the completion certificate for your files.

TRAINING AGENDA

Tuesday, October 6 (Day 1)
Register for one of the three tracks available on Day 1.  

  • Track 1 - Agriculture: Topics include BMP's for Equine Operations, Obtaining Plain Sect Cooporation, Ag Impaired Waters, and Ag Compliance and Enforcement.
  • Track 2 - Brownfields, Landfills and Mitigation Banking: There will be sessions on Managment of Fill Policy, Brownfields, the E&S Manual, Brownfield Updates, and Industry Perspectives on Mitigation Banking. 
  • Track 3 - Linear Projects and Dirt, Gravel & Low Volume Roads: Linear Projects - Electric Utilities, Roads, Pipelines and ESCGP's. DGLVR & Chapter 102 and DGLVR & Chapter 105 will be covered.

Wednesday, October 7 (Day 2)

  • Chapter 102 Track:  Topics to be covered on Day 2 include Chapter 102 Program Updates, NOI Workshop: Act 162, BMP Updates, and NOT Compliance. 

Thursday, October 8 (Day 3)
There will be one morning track that ends at noon. After lunch, join the all day Chapter 105 track.

  • Morning Track - Chapter 102 and 105 Combined: Sessions will include topics on the Right to Know Law, PNDI, and Chapter 105.   
  • Chapter 105 Track: Topics include GP Reporting, PASPGP-5, the Administrative Manual, Basic SLLA Operations, and 105 Permitting Mitigation Bank Sites.


HOTEL INFORMATION

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Ramada Conference Center in State College for for those attending the 102-105 training.

Conservation District attendees may make reservations by calling the hotel directly at 814-238-3001 and asking for the PACD/DEP room block.

DEP attendees will not be booking rooms directly with the hotel. Instructions for DEP staff to reserve rooms for the hotel will be provided with an e-mail announcement regarding the training.

Rooms are available at a rate of $71.00 per night under this block. Guests will have access to the hot buffet breakfast offered in the hotel restaurant from 6:30-10 a.m. Rooms must be reserved by September 10, 2015 to receive the $71.00 per night rate.
