The community school model is a strategy for organizing programs and services to support the overall wellbeing of students and their families.

Join us on Wednesday, August 5 from 9:30am - 12noon to learn how to put in place effective strategies and build mutually beneficial relationships that will help your community school get off to the right start and achieve long-term success and sustainability.

New Resource Coordinators (<1 year experience), agency supervisors, and school leaders and teachers are encouraged to attend. Topics will include:

  • The community school framework and developmental stages
  • The role of resource coordinators in mobilizing community school development
  • Building an advisory board
  • Panel discussion representing critical sets of community school stakeholders – experienced Resource Coordinator, Lead Partner Agency, and Principal.

This workshop is being offered by the Federation for Community Schools and the Community Schools Initiative at CPS.
