What is the Friends of Cordova Parks?
The Friends of Cordova, Inc., a non-profit partner for the Cordova Recreation and Park District (CRPD), is a public benefit corporation whose mission is to promote and support recreation activities, park improvements, facility uses, and cultural well-being of the CRPD community.

What is this a fundraiser for?
Friends of Cordova wants to raise awareness and funds for the Cordova Community Pool complex. Currently the 3-pool complex is closed due to mechanical and infrastructure issues. This pool complex was home to swim lessons, public swim, training and competitions for the Blue Marlins Swim Team and Cordova Cordettes Synchronized Team. It is a much beloved community facility for several generations of swimmers.
The Children's Funding Assistance helps children participate in Cordova Recreation and Park District programs that wouldn't normally be able to afford to do so. Examples of programs the scholarship fund has supported are summer day camps for youth, the preschool program, swim lessons, swim teams, and sports like soccer and tennis.
Fifty percent of the event ticket and raffle proceeds along with a portion of wine sales will benefit the Cordova Community Pool Project. The other fifty percent will support the scholarship program, The Children’s Funding Assistance.

*This event is for adults 21 and over. Identification will be checked at the door.
