S.A.F.F.E. Day Weekend Event 

S.A.F.F.E. Day is "Special Abilities Family Fun Event" Day. Our goal is to provide a very special fun time with hands on activities for any child or adult with special needs including but not limited to medical, physical, mental, or learning disabilities. This is a FREE event for anyone with special needs and their families and/or caregivers.

This year we have added a Friday evening event. Friday, September 18 SAFFE Day will host Christian artists Richard Hight and Chagy the Clown. Mr. Hight is a visual artist who creates two pieces of art during his inspirational speaking presentation. Chagy the Clown's circus style clown training and his theological education has allowed him the ability to minister everywhere from the smallest of churches to the largest of stadiums. We are excited to include both of them in our SAFFE Day Friday night event. As always their show will be free and open to every special abilitiles participant and their family and care givers. The performance begins at 5:00 pm and will be held in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church Kilgore (501 North Street). 

Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 am we will kick off our regular SAFFE Day events with our opening ceremonies. We cannot wait to introduce you to our 2015 SAFFE Day Ambassador Judie Moffett! We fell in love with her so much that we asked her to be a part of our Board! Like always SAFFE Day is open to our Special Abilities Super Heroes along with their families and caregivers. The activities are geared to be interactive no matter what the ability. The Kilgore Fire Department and Volunteers will be there to help with all the activities. The yummy food is free and the events are a lot of fun!

This year we are reminded that everyone can be a super hero in their own way. We all have unique gifts that add something special to our world. Think about what makes you super and come to SAFFE Day ready to shine! We will provide the cape...you will provide the super power!
