September 2015 Luncheon Meeting

Planned Giving Options

Speaker:   Rebecca E. Dupras, Esq., Silicon Valley Community Foundation

Featured Partner: Christina Gray, Stonecrest Managers

Meeting Description

Ms. Dupras will discuss the following:

Planned Giving is a term that is used in fundraising circles but it can be confusing. Since most large gifts to charitable causes are planned by clients, what makes “Planned Giving” different? Rebecca will discuss some of the basics of how to define Planned Giving and the planning tools available to advisors. She will also address the types of clients who might be interested in these giving vehicles and the ways that they can utilize them as part of an overall estate plan. It is important to understand the role of the advisor when a charity is approached by a client to ensure that the client is getting the best advice possible.

1.5 hours CE has been granted by the CFP Board for this session.
