This month, our featured guest speaker is

Michael J. Ortega

City of Tucson City Manager

Michael J. Ortega was selected as the new City of Tucson City Manager effective July 2015. He served as Cochise County Administrator for the past eight years and was the City Manager for the City of Douglas from 1995 to 2007. Prior to working for the City of Douglas, Mike worked as an engineering manager for Pima County and various consulting firms. Michael graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and later earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the same institution. He has been an active member, serving in leadership positions and on the boards, of the Arizona-Mexico Commission Border Issues Committee, Arizona Town Hall, Arizona City/County Management Association, the Douglas Unified School District and the Good Neighbor Environmental Board.
