Protecting Our Pollinators
Supporting the Creation, Maintenance and Preservation of Pollinator Habitat
More and more scientific research concludes that pollinators of all kinds – from native bees to butterflies – are in decline. Land development, shifting agricultural practices and changing climate conditions are all impacting the survival of our native pollinators. With nearly 75% of all flowering plants on earth relying on pollinators, these industrious insects have a direct impact on one-third of the food humans consume.
Green Umbrella in partnership with the Center for Conservation and Stewardship at the Cincinnati Nature Center is proud to host the 4th Annual Land Forum. During this half-day workshop, experts will discuss region-specific information on how we can better manage pollinator habitat, garner more resources, and provide opportunities for collaboration and success to protect our native pollinators.
