9:15 - 10:00 John Madigan, Pictured Rocks Boat Cruises ~ Tourism is an enourmous economic driver in the Upper Peninsula and especially in Munising. John Madigan will share his wealth of knowledge on the tourism industry in our region and introduce attendees to the new Upper Peninsula Pure Michigan Campaign. Will you hear how you can get involved in supporting Pure Michigan in the U.P. and how the region will be branding itself for the future.

10:00 - 10:15 Networking Break

10:15 - 11:00 Regional Prosperity Initiative Update, Joel Schultz CUPPAD, Jerry Wourenmaa WUPPDR, Eric Wedesky EUPPDR ~ Regional housing needs, healthcare needs assessments, recycling, broadband and cellular access, career and technical education, energy options for industrial parks, agriculture and local food systems. These and many more areas of great importance to our region are being addressed through the regional prosperity initiative. Hear more about the specific activities being undertaken through the grant funded work.

11:00 - 11:15 Networking Break

11:15 - 12:00 Legislative Update ~ The Upper Peninsula Legislative Delegation has had a very busy summer. There is a lot going on with road funding, electrical issues, the budget, regional prosperity, big box store tax issues, the EPA lawsuit and so much more. Hear more about what's happening in Lansing and how those issues impact our area.

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch and one minute updates ~ Attendees will have a chance to share what they're working on and what is important in their home communities and hear from others about the same.
