"Bringing Scoreboard Displays into the Boardroom"
This presentation covers the basics of direct-view LED, dot pitch, and the sweet spot viewing distances for various dot pitches. It will also cover key specifications, applications, and how to determine how and where to use this Common Cathode Technology. Guy will also give a sneak peak at what's new on the horizon with direct-view LED.

Presented by: Guy Russell, VP Marketing and Special Projects at SiliconCore Technologyot pitch, and the sweet spot viewing distances for various dot pitches. It will also cover key specifications, applications, and how to determine how and where to use this Common Cathode Technology. Guy will also give a sneak peak at what's new on the horizon with direct-view LED.

Early in his career, Guy's focus was on state of the art flight simulators for military and commercial users. Leveraging the experience developed there, he led the emergence of Virtual Reality and Visual Collaboration experiences into the mainstream. Starting in 2007, his experience with complex displays was used to create some of the world's most iconic Spectaculars based on the emerging capabilities of large format LED display technology. As LED displays evolved into finer and finer pixel pitch, he combined his experience with Spectaculars and Collaboration to lead the application of these technologies into the boardroom, conference rooms and presentation theaters.

1:00 PM & 3:00 PM
"The Art of Screens"
Though it only represents a small part of an A/V installation, the Projection screen is the focal point of the AV Solution. A bad screen can ruin the visual experience; a good one dramatically improves it. This Infocomm CTS accredited course offering will demonstrate the true magic the proper projection screen can bring to the viewing experience when applied properly. Learn how contrast, brightness, and display technologies mated in harmony can create stunning larger-than-life visual experiences. We will cover the basics of front and rear screen technologies, aspect ratio, best practices and how to avoid the 10 most common mistakes in screen installations.

Presented by: Randy Pagnan, Owner of RP Visual Solutions
Randy is the President of rp Visual Solutions, and has been immersed in the visual display industry for over three decades, specializing in displays for large-venue display application, 24/7 Network Operation Control Centers, Digital Signage environments, and Immersive 3D applications. Randy has established himself as one of the premier educators in control room design and projection screen technology. Originally from Canada, where Randy earned his CMA Accounting Designation, his love of numbers is what drives his passion for ensuring the best in display solution for his customers. Past- President of Infocomm, Randy is an adjunct faculty member and is very committed to education.

2:00 PM & 4:00 PM
"Total System Integration - the Consultants POV"
This presentation covers how to design a system by defining the performance goals for the final system. It will review how to evaluate and consider the technical information about the environment and "do the math" to determine what type of display technology will offer the best results for the application.

Presented by: James Fife, Designer at Engineering Harmonics
James' past projects have included systems architecture and infrastructure design, color mastering facilities, solutions for higher education video capture and distribution systems, various forms of broadcast and production environments, complex video projection systems, distributed audio systems, and many more. Keen attention to all aspects of installation including aesthetics, user interfaces (ease of operation) and extremely high specification wiring and termination requirements. His specialties include: High definition distance education, interactive learning, complex and engineered projection, multi camera telepresence, and medical education systems.

2:00 PM & 4:00 PM
"Pixels Everywhere"
From advances in consumer electronics, through social media, augmented reality and ubiquitous connectivity; visual displays are being transformed by some amazing technology trends which are pushing the boundaries of audience experiences.  Unlimited pixel canvases, artistic and architectural expressions of digital visions and 3D projection mapping are transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.  Personal engagement, creating emotional connections and enabling creativity without worry to create the 'wow', are all part "Pixels Everywhere", the future of displays.
