NONA LIM
Owner of

Real:Simple:Delicious

Delicious dairy and gluten-free soups and meals using fresh local and organic ingredients.

Nona Lim makes delicious dairy and gluten-free soups and meals using fresh local and organic ingredients in their kitchen in Oakland, California. Creator of the Delicious Detox, their mission is to make it easy for you to live a healthy lifestyle by eating well.

Nona Lim grew up in Singapore, a tiny country with a thriving food culture that reflects the diversity of its citizens. She regularly visited the famous food stalls where hungry customers watch while their food is prepared right in front of them.

After graduating from NTU in Singapore, Nona moved to London to pursue a consulting career in the tech industry. When not working, Nona was fencing competitively, nearly making it to the Olympics. Keeping a rigorous work and competition schedule, Nona understood the importance of a well-balanced diet and began seriously studying nutrition with the goal of making healthy food an easy part of her active lifestyle.

When Nona and her husband moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, Nona dreamed of starting a business where she could make healthy and delicious food to fit any active lifestyle. Renting space in a communal kitchen, Nona gathered a team of top-notch health advisors to guide her in growing a quickly thriving company. Among them included Dr. Marsha Nunley, Dr. Neha Sangwan, Rebecca Katz (MS in Health and Nutrition) and Karen Diggs (Certified Nutritionist), experts still advising the business today.

By early in 2006, Nona was officially in business. Applying everything she learned from nutrition experts, Nona launched multiple successful lines of retail soups, broths, fresh rice noodles and ramen noodles all without additives or preservatives of any kind and sold in the refrigerated section of quality grocers.
