Triangle Global Health Reception 

Are you a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, interested in joining the Peace Corps or interested in connecting with others working in global health in the Triangle?  The Triangle Global Health Consortium and the North Carolina Peace Corps Association invite you to join us for a reception featuring Aaron S. Williams, former Director of the U.S. Peace Corps and Executive Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Communications for RTI International.   

With more than 25 years of experience in policy formulation, strategic planning, and the design and implementation of development assistance programs, Aaron Williams has directed development assistance programs in economic policy development and economic growth, trade and investment promotion, banking and finance, democracy and governance, education, housing and urban development, and public health.  He was Peace Corps Director between 2009 and 2012 greatly increasing partnerships and support for Peace Corps Volunteers during his tenure. Mr. Williams led the led RTI's International Development Group (IDG) since 2012, and has recently become executive vice president of Government Relations and Corporate Communications. He has extensive experience in the strategic design and management of assistance programs, including assignments in South Africa, Honduras, Haiti, Costa Rica, and Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.  Mr. Williams has also created and managed innovative public-private partnerships between global corporations, government entities, nongovernmental organizations, and international foundations.
