Play and Practice with a Pro
If you're looking for a fun playing experience in a non-competitive environment, this event is for you! This event is designed for the new or beginner golfer who is looking for more on course experience or who wants more information on things such as course etiquette and course management. You will play 9-holes with a teaching professional on the Tooth Course at Orange County National. When you arrive at 8:30am, you will register and be given the basics on things like the bag drop and checking in for a round. Play on the Tooth will take place from 9:00am - 11:00am.
Play will be a scramble format in groups of four and there will be a teaching professional from Core Golf Learning Center with each foursome. A scramble format means each player hits, you pick the best shot and play from there, continuing this format all the for all 9 holes. You will receive advice and tips as you play and the pro will be with you for the whole 9-holes. He or she will cover things such as:
- The teeing ground
- How to fill a divot
- Course etiquette (e.g. where to stand when someone else is hitting)
- Repairing a ball mark on the green
- How to tend and pull a flag on the green
- How to mark your ball on the green
- Some basic instruction
The cost for this event is $55.00 for EWGA members and $60.00 for non-members. This rate includes your golf, cart fee and two hours with the teaching professional on the course.
