Metalsmithing Basics
“I made it myself!” That’s what you’ll tell friends when they ask about the unique piece of jewelry you’re wearing. Learn metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, and riveting to make a variety of projects. First-time participants will make a bracelet that involves all of these basic methods. Returning participants will work with the instructor to problem solve, refine their basic skills, and explore more advanced techniques such as enameling, etching, alternative materials, and stone setting.
