2010 Professional Development Series

Professional Development Workshop: Fall 2015 Two-Part Series (10/29/2015 & 11/5/2015)

Join us on Thursday, October 29 and Thursday, November 5 for WTS-Sacramento's two-part Professional Development Workshop on Maximizing your professional and personal achivements and establishing yourself as a healthy leader.

Session 1:  7 Essential Boundaries that Maximize Your Professional & Personal Achievements
Establishing healthy boundaries in 7 key areas of your life/work is essential to maximizing your personal and professional achievements.  Without these boundaries, priorities get reordered (or obliterated) and no longer reflect your true goals.  This training creates awareness and understanding of these 7 crucial boudaries and provides participants tools for setting and holding these boundaries in the face of ever-increasing competing demands.

Session 2:  3 Must Do's to Establish Yourself as a Healthy Leader
Looking for ways to grow as a leader and establish more work-life balance?  This session identifies three things professionals must do to establish themselves as a healthy leader.  In this interactive, fun event, participants will distinguish:  1)  a method for consistency creating balance/harmony; 2) Six key areas in which to create well-being; and 3)  a method for gaining control of the overwhelm that crops up as a result of too many demands, or too little time.  The focus of the session will be on addressing areas where professionals at all levels can incorporate more self-care to manage the responsibilities of leadership, and reduce levels of effort while increasing a sense of satisfaction and contribution.

We welcome Lisa Carpenter, the founder of Emerald Quest Coaching as our presenter.  Her professional experience includes nearly 20 years in the engineering and environmental industries.  She is a trained coach, mediator, and facilitator with experience managing and supporting transportation, water, wastewater, and agency infrastructure projects.  Lisa's personal coaching philosophy centers on supporting clients to get crystal clear about what they want and what stands in their way of getting it.
