2015 MAEA Fall Conference 

Conference registration is now open!  I am very excited about our focus this year on the National Visual Arts Standards.  We have a wonderful conference planned with Thursday studio concentrations taught by Mississippi College faculty,  Friday and Saturday sessions, a Mississippi born keynote speaker, and the Friday night circle event!  I hope you are starting to save circular objects for our activity and plan your circle wardrobe.  Please refer to the CONFERENCE INFORMATION for more about each of these offerings. 

Conference fees include Friday and Saturday sessions, art supplies needed for the sessions, conference t-shirt, coffee and muffins Friday morning, dinner Friday evening, and lunch on Saturday. The Thursday studio concentrations are an additional $50 which includes lunch and some art supplies.  All sessions are specifically geared to help Visual Arts teachers strengthen their teaching practices and show connections to the Visual Arts Standards as well as give teachers opportunities to reflect, problem solve, and share new ideas and experiences.  Up to 2 CEUs or 20 contact hours are available during this professional development conference.  Regular registration ends October 18 so sign up soon!
