Thursdays, 9-11 am

Little Tykes is a brand new program focusing specifically on the developmental skills and interests of young children, ages two and three years old! Children and their caregivers engage one-on-one through songs, stories, creating crafts, and special activities within the museum exhibits. Healthy snack provided.  Pay day-of for single classes (space is limited) or register for the whole series.  Let the adventures in discovery and purposeful play begin!

$6/class for member-child (1 free adult)

$8/class for nonmember-child (1 free adult, CMWS admission included)

Pay for the 8-class series and save - $40 member, $56 nonmember!

Siblings receive $5 off the series.

*Fees include 6.75% NC Sales Tax.

Cancellation Policy - If you have registered for a special program and have to cancel, our refund procedure is as follows:

More than 14 days in advance – full refund

Less than 14 days in advance and up until 7 days before the program – 50% refund

Canceling less than 7 days before the program – no refund

This policy is in place because our programs require advance purchase of materials and refreshments.

Inclement Weather Policy - Visitors safety is very important to us.  In the event of inclement weather or unsafe road conditions, the Children's Museum may cancel a special event.  If there is a cancellation, there will be social media posts on Twitter and Facebook announcing the event's cancellation.  In addition, there will be an outgoing message on the Welcome Desk phone - 723.9111 x211.  If you have registered for a special event that has been cancelled, you will receive a full refund.  Weather and road conditions vary greatly from area to area.  If you chose not to attend a program that the Children's Museum is offering due to inclement weather or unsafe road conditions in your local area, we are not able to issue a refund.
