DBIA New England Presents
Demystifying the Adaptations of Design-Build
Helping Clients Understand the Available Options
RESCHEDULED: New date Wed., Sept 16
Design-build has become a generic term that encompasses many adaptations of design-build, real and perceived. In this session, we will explore current experimentation with design-build in the vertical construction industry. We will analyze the benefits and challenges of several approaches, and in doing so, help dispel client confusion and bring clarity to the available options.
Hosted at the University of Hartford, an established and growing private university, S/L/A/M Construction Services will share their 19 years of experience in the Connecticut design-build market, as an integrated design-build with a strong emphasis in architecture. The presenter will explore this design-build approach and examine case studies from two University of Hartford projects that utilized this method.
Learning Objectives:
• Explore the evolution of design-build
• Analyze current variations of design-build
• Advantages & disadvantages between current design-build methods
• Responses to frequently asked questions
• Examine case studies that illustrate the design-build method
