AIA CLEVELAND WOMEN IN ARCHITECTURE PRESENTS:

  VIRGINIA BURT, FCSLA, ASLA

Join us for an evening with landscape architect Virginia Burt, FCSLA, ASLA, who creates landscapes and gardens of meaning for residential clients, healthcare facilities, and special projects. For over 30 years, Virginia’s international award winning work has been recognized including recent National CSLA Award of Merit in 2015 and 2014 Palladio Award. Virginia’s design work reflects her roots, creating gardens and landscapes that reveal their natural context and reflect those who use them.  From the challenges of preserving and reversing ecological degradation in remote areas to creating hope and healing within a dense urban environment, a journey of recent work from coastal barrens to high alpine to the 'wilds' of University Circle will be presented.

Learning Objectives:

2) Understand the challenges and successes of demonstrating master planning and site design through to adaptive re-use of historic materials;
