Please join ASHRAE Orange Empire for the exciting and important FIRST MEETING of the 2015-2016 Season.
The University of California, Irvine, has been successfully building projects using the Design/Build delivery method for over 20 years. From the first project through today the University has been working to refine and improve their process. Large projects on the main campus are identified, bid and managed by the UCI Design & Construction Services team, led by Brian Pratt. Brian is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a registered architect in the state of California with over 20 years of experience in the industry, and in his current role as Associate Campus Architect he drives the growth and campus vision for UC Irvine.
Mr. Pratt will be speaking to attendees about the UCI Design / Build process, the similarities and differences between the UCI and other approaches, as well as the challenges that are inherent with this approach, for all of the entities involved (Owner, Contractor, Design Team).
