Craniosacral Therapy for Infant Breastfeeding 


Dr. Alison Hazelbaker is teaching a class on how craniosacral therapy can be used to identify and overcome infant sucking and breastfeeding issues. She will focus on anatomy and physiology of suck, anatomy and physiology of milk making, problem identification, goals for CST, and torticollis, plagiocephaly, and brachycephaly, forceps and vacuum extraction, c sections and other birth trauma. There will also be clinical practice on real babies.

Prerequisites: Class participants are required to have previous CST training that includes both mouthwork and emotional work.  If you have trained with Upledger, you need to have completed at least SER 1.  If you have Milne training, you must have taken through the first level of mouth work.  If you are Biodynamics trained, you must be certified.  If you have trained with Carol Gray, you must have taken CST Basics, Beyond the Basics, Subtle Hands, and Infant.    

Required Reading: Craniosacral Therapy for Babies and Small Children by Etienne and Neeto Peirsman, or Baby Beautiful: A Handbook of Baby Head Shaping, and Chapter 1 Section B and C, Chapter 2 Section D of Lactation Specialist Self-Study Series: Module 2, The Process of Breastfeeding by Rebecca F.
