REGISTRATION ENDS MONDAY, OCTOBER 26TH!
The Center for Adoption Support and Education presents our 19th Annual KAN Conference, "Looking through the Adoption Lens: The Kaleidoscope of Changing Perspectives". We invite adopted children 1st-12th grades and their parents to participate in this full-day event!
This year, parents will explore the intricacies of the adoption journey through the lens of members from the adoption circle. Participants will have the opportunity to both hear from and closely interact with a diverse panel moderated by C.A.S.E. CEO, Debbie Riley. Comprised of teen and adult adopted persons, adoptive parents and birth parents, panelists will represent every type of adoptive family. They will include public (foster care) and private adoption, LGBT families, single parent families, transracial and other types of families. Panelists will share their heartwarming stories and provide participants with tips for addressing their greatest concerns as they answer questions such as,
"How do you deal with identity challenges?"
"What is it like being in a relationship with your birth parent/
child?"
"What do you wish you or your parents had known then that
you know now?"
"What did you or your parents do right?"
"What are your suggestions for successful reunions?
