Technology Safety: Providing Survivor Centered Services In A Digital World

NYSCADV, along with local partner Haven House, a program of Child and Family Services of Erie County, is pleased to offer Technology Safety: Providing Survivor Centered Services in a Digital World, a domestic violence tech safety training in the Western New York Region for domestic violence advocates and allied agencies. 

This training is designed to increase participants' understanding of and capacity for providing trauma informed, survivor-centered services in a digital world. The training will work to:

• increase the participants’ knowledge of how survivors can use technology to stay safe;
• increase the participants’ knowledge of how abusers can use technology to stalk and harass victims;
• increase the participants’ capacity to safety plan with survivors around their use of technology; and
• increase the participants’ capacity to develop and implement internal policies and practices that help maintain a confidential, safe space for survivors.
