e-Hazard provides a full suite of arc flash training, testing, and consulting services for utilities, manufacturers, building and electrical contractors, and goverment agencies.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

   Persons cancelling less than 5 business days prior to the seminar will be responsible for the tuition, but may send a substitute. 

   A course may be canceled 7 days prior to class date if there is low interest.  In the case of cancellation, e-Hazard will fully refund the registration fee in the manner that it was paid or transfer students' registration to another class.

  Should inclement weather arise, the course may be moved to an alternate location or rescheduled.  If an attendee is not able to attend the alternative location or date due to inclement weather, the registration fee will be fully refunded in the manner in which it was paid.

Two-day seminar tuition for High Voltage Qualified Electrical Safety Training is $800 per person*, and includes the pre-requisite Low Voltage Qualified course.  **

*  For companies sending 5 or more attendees to both training days, a discount of $100 per person applies.

** If you have already attended our 2015 Low Voltage course in the past, tuition for High Voltage Qualified Training is $400 per person and includes one day of training only.  A discount of $50 per person applies for companies sending 5 or more attendees.  Contact our office if this applies to you.

LOW VOLTAGE QUALIFIED - DAY 1:

This practical one-day course provides a comprehensive understanding of safe electrical workplace practices in accordance with OSHA and NFPA 70E 2015 regulations and guidelines.

Tuition includes:

  • Expert instruction
  • NFPA 70E-2015 Standard (for LV/HV courses - $67.50 value
  • e-Hazard student manual  - $45.00 value
  • Certificate of Completion - 8 hours**
  • Demonstrations and samples of PPE from the industry's leading manufacturers (when available)

**  Certain courses are approved for continuing education credit for electricians in AK, AL, DE, FL, ID, KY, LA, MD, MT, NC, NE, NJ, NM, OH, OR, SD,   UT, WA, WI and WY, and courses are accepted by most states for Professional Development Hours for electrical engineers.  Contact e-Hazard for more details.

Working on or around 1 to 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification. In this training, attendees learn what it means to be HV qualified and what electrical tasks may only be performed by a qualified person.

  • Regulations related to being HV Qualified and working safely.
  • Safe practices working on or near energized equipment
  • Live line work, tools and equipment.
  • Mobile equipment and electrical hazards.
  • De-energized testing
  • Creating a safe work zone (Tape In/Tape out)
  • Public Safety (limited approach) boundaries
  • Minimum approach distance
  • When is it live-line work
  • Testing and verifying equipment is de-energized
