Welcome to the Academy of Leadership at the School for Leadership Development (AOL@SLD). We are pleased that you are interested in our upcoming leadership development training.  We are offereing three of our most requested training modules. Below you will find addtional information about each module.

  • Module 1: Communication ~ Welcome to My Window
In this training module, individuals begin to recognize how they select, interpret and organize information and thus communicate.  Each person is asked to complete a communication profile prior to the training.  Their profile is analyzed and returned to them during the class.  Participants will then have an opportunity to work collectively to explore ways to use this information to increase communication effectiveness. This module is offered on Wednesday, November 4 from 1:30pm - 5:30pm.
  • Module 2: Supervisory Skills Delegating for Shared Success
In this training module, leaders learn how to delegate efficiently, so they can turn their attention to other key aspects of their supervisory role, such as planning, removing performance barriers, and making process improvements.  This module is one of two being offered on Thursday, November 5 from 8:30am - 12:30pm.
  • Module 3: Conflict Management ~ Resolving Conflict With Your Peers
In this training module, a process for resolving conflicts with peers is provided.  Through a variety of individual and group activities, skills practices, video segments and large group discussions, participants explore how using the process encourages shared solutions and builds constructive work relationships. This module is being offered at the same time as module # 2.  Choose one when registering.
