Standards-Based Programs
All park education programs incorporate Washington State K-12 Learning Standards including Common Core for ELS and Mathematics, Next Generation Science Standards and 2009 Washington Science Standards during transition to NGSS
Parks As Classrooms programs can be timed to introduce concepts, reinforce understanding, or stimulate culminating projects within a teaching unit. Education programs in the park feature authentic learning that actively engages students and teachers with the park’s resources. Education programs feature ranger-conducted curriculum-based hands-on, minds-on programs.

Reservation Instructions
- Reservations are requested at least 3 weeks in advance of your requested program date
- Please allow ample time for processing. At least 3 weeks for processing for programs.
- You may make a reservation any one of 5 ways: NEW! Online, FAX, Snail Mail, Email or Telephone.

- Reservation Forms can be obtained by calling the park or are on our website at: www.nps.gov/laro/learn/education
- Confirmation materials will be mailed snail mail or sent electronically to you as soon as possible.
- First come, First Served on all reservation requests
- Make a copy of the completed form(s) for your files.
