Third Wednesday of the month for eight sessions (October, 2015 thru May, 2016).
Each session we will meet in a different location to learn new skills and have fun participating in eight months of seasonal and community activities! The first session will be for getting acquainted and planning the monthly activities and will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, at the Autism Society office in Wauwatosa. After that, the group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the locations selected for the group activities. Some possible activities might include attending a sporting event, bowling, having a game night, or other events suggested by participants.
PARENTS - at the first session we will have you meet for 15-30 to discuss plan and expections. Also, please note that you will be responsible for transportation.
Each session will include a friendship or team-building objective as well as a "homework" assignment to practice skills we are working on while having fun.
Course size limited to 8. This course is targeted at individuals who are willing to try new things, want to participate in group activities, and will stay with the group.
Cost: $350/member or $400/non-member for the 8-session course. The fee includes admittance to all activities however extra spending money for snacks, beverages or incidentals is the responsibility of the participant.
