Zero Waste Celebration

Please join us for a  dinner to celebrate progress and inspire reinvestment in the Athens Hocking Zero Waste Action Plan Saturday, October 10th, from 4pm to 7pm at Robbins Crossing in Nelsonville. 

We have worked on implementing the Zero Waste Action Plan for nearly 2 years. In that time, we've made great progress and we've got a lot more to do!

The purpose of this event is to celebrate our accomplishments to date, reengage those of you who have helped along the way, and engage new people as we move forward.

Please come, eat, listen, share your ideas, and be a part of making this action plan a reality in Athens and Hocking County. We want to be a place that is reducing, reusing, and recycling the majority of its waste. And not only that, we want to do it in a way that benefits our people, our planet, and our local economy!

The Zero Waste celebration will take place in a big white tent at the Appalachian Outdoor Adventure taking place at Hocking College. 

Registration is free and includes a weekend pass to the Appalachian Outdoor Adventure.

Draft Agenda:

4pm - Updates on the work to date and celebrate accomplishments over the last two years with those who have helped make it possible.

5pm - Dinner catered by Hocking College.

6pm - Discussion Circles: Bring your ideas to help Athens and Hocking counties move towards zero waste.
