Handi Quilter Long Arm Workshop

Want to start finishing your quilts? Or maybe know better how to use your quilting machine? Then these series of classes are for you! While these classes are geared primarily towards those who own or would like to own a long arm, we also have classes for sit-down machines as well.

We are holding this in our classroom at our store, but if we have too many people that want to sign up but can't due to lack of space, we will move the classes to a larger venue!  So if a class is full, please email Jay and be placed on a waiting list.

Nancy Stein's passion for textiles began with sewing lessons provided by her mother, and she quickly became proficient in clothing construction and the occasional home project. Retiring after 30 years as a dental hygienist, Nancy reconnected with the world of fabric and thread by learning to piece quilt tops.

Nancy first purchased an HQ Sixteen® and began quilting, first for herself and then for others. She currently quilts on an HQ18 Avanté equipped the HQ Pro-Stitcher®, and recently added the HQ Sweet Sixteen® sit-down machine. She teaches in local quilt shops and has a loyal customer base as an instructor and machine quilter. Her journey led her to becoming a Handi Quilter National Educator.

Nancy especially enjoys foundation paper piecing and wool applique, and has published several patterns. She consistently spends several hours a day actively designing, cutting, piecing, appliquéing, quilting, or preparing class-related materials. Her favorite motto is: “The answer is always ‘no’ until you ask the question.
