Holiday Charm with Carol Wingert 

The class project is a fabric tri-fold binder that is pre-sewn before the class.  The inside pages, which will be hand stitched into the binder in class, are a nice and sturdy watercolor paper. This book celebrates the holidays in a distressed, shabby style...all done in fabulous (and totally fashionable) shades of gray. There are handmade flowers, wooden embellishments distressed to look like driftwood...kind of gray and beachy...twinchies with small images and lots of charms, beautifully layered pages using fabrics and paper...all pulled together to create an artistic book for your holiday memories.

The cover allows for a photo, favorite quote or verse, or rubber stamped image.  Inside, the tags, pockets and pouches add more surfaces for your photos and stories.  And, the kit comes with a set of instructions so that you can easily work on the pages outside of class.

Can’t make it to class? Kits are available which include written instructions. Please note that kits are available for in-store pick up for no additional charge or can be shipped anywhere in the United States for an additional $15.

• Bone Folder
• Needle with large eye (tapestry needle works well)
• Regular sewing needle
• White or ivory thread
• Glue Stick
• Wet glue (such as Aleene’s “Tacky” Glue)
• Paper Trimmer
• Paper Piercer or Awl
• Small Stapler with long reach (such as the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher)
• Favorite gray inks (Weathered Wood and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks would be great)
• Ink Applicator
• Foam Paint Brushes (minimum of 2)
• Craft Paint Brushes (approx 1" wide or wider) (minimum of 2)
