CalAPA Joint Los Angeles-San Diego Technical Committee Meeting Carlsbad 

CalAPA members and public agency personnel are invited to a special CalAPA Joint Los Angeles-San Diego Technical Committee meeting, where technical information and best practices about Hot Mix Asphalt will be discussed in an informal setting.

Featured presentation: Noted pavment expert Peter E. Sebaaly, Ph.D, P.E. will present on the topic, "The Impact of Warm Mix Asphalt Additives on Various Asphalt Mixtures." Dr. Sebaaly is a professor and Director of the Western Regional Superpave Center at the University of Nevada, Reno. Under the directorship of Dr. Sebaaly, the Pavements/Materials Program at UNR has grown to a sizeable research, teaching, and training program. The program is well-known for its high-quality and thorough research activities in road materials analyses and designs. Past and current graduates of the program have attained high-profile positions in both government and private industry. There will be ample time for questions and answers after his presentation.

 In addition to the featured presentation, CalAPA staff will share the latest information on state asphalt pavement specifications, funding projections, policy matters and industry news. The meeting encourages interaction and knowledge-sharing from all participants.
