Directions: Attendees should gather at 11:00 a.m. at the Bread for the City NW office. Bread for the City’s Northwest Center is closest to the Shaw-Howard Univeristy Metro station on the Green Line. Take the R & 8th Street exit and walk to 7th Street between P & Q Streets.

Bread for City is an organization that focuses on supporting our neighbors in need in a wide variety of areas. They strive to provide vulnerable residents of Washington, D.C. with comprehensive services including food, clothing, medical care. legal and social services.  Through their network, they are able to offer assistance to more than 10,000 people per month.

Join us for a site visit and tour of this cutting edge program. Meet Kristine Jensen and learn about the panoply of services offered at Bread for the City, including why they sometimes need a new truck, a new refrigerator, or a fork lift!  Then, meet Su Sie Ju, Legal Director, to hear about the types of cases Bread for the City attorneys handle and how you can be involved as a pro bono attorney in promoting the access to justice!
