Women in Business 2015 Leadership Conference

The Women in Business Conference is a regional women’s leadership conference hosted by The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsor Citizens Bank. This conference is the region’s new forum to promote women’s personal and professional development and advancement. The purpose of the event is to inspire women to seek their highest level of personal and professional growth by presenting participants with mentors, varying perspectives and strategies for success.

The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Arkansas Community College in Batesville. Check-in and breakfast will begin at 8:00 am and will be followed by the welcome and opening keynote at 9:00 am. Conference events are expected to commence by 4:00 pm, but vendor exhibits will remain open until 5:00 pm.

The conference will feature Stacey Mason of Mason On Leadership as the keynote speaker. Stacey Mason uses insight, perspective, and humor to move people toward greater self-awareness and thought leadership.  Her Improve Thru Improv® platform merges business acumen with applied improvisation techniques to “play with how you think!” Before creating Mason On Leadership, a leadership consultancy focusing mainly on behavioral assessments and executive coaching, she spent a lifetime with Walmart Stores, Inc.  She writes about thought leadership as a columnist for B2B publications, and as a published writer, has contributed client stories for a business and leadership book titled “The Birkman Method:  Your Personality at Work” by Sharon Birkman-Fink and Stephanie Capparell.

The programming content features multi-faceted subject matter:
•insights and examples that inspire personal growth and empowerment offered by accomplished women leaders in many walks of life and will feature a keynote from Stacey Mason, an expert on self-awareness and thought leadership;
•discussions of best practices and strategies for leadership development and career advancement led by facilitators and coaches;
•techniques for personal development (such as health maintenance, financial management, work-life balance, etc.);
•community engagement; and
•networking among conference participants who share a passion to lead in business, family and their communities.

The conference format will include a keynote message, roundtable discussions, networking opportunities, and a unique “How To” session showcasing area vendors. Roundtable discussions will be organized based on areas of development and will include advice for beginning in business, lessons for emerging leaders, practical exercises for advancing in business, and non-traditional business and venture idea exchanges.

Registration is $99 and includes breakfast, lunch, and all conference materials. The deadline to register is October 1, 2015.
