His dedication to improving the lives of those in the community has earned him such honors as Cape Coral Citizen of the Year and Lee County Humanitarian of the Year. For six years he served as a State Representative in the Florida House where he quickly ascended into key leadership positions, including serving two years as Chairman of the Rules and Calendar Committee.
