Increase Engagement Through Absent Narratives

Increase Engagement Through Absent Narratives is an all-day workshop that prepares participants to have meaningful engagement with their communities. Participants will come away with broadened worldviews and the skills to deepen their personal and professional relationships — outcomes that set a foundation for increased engagement. The workshop focuses on the four core values of the Humanities Center:

Build and strengthen relationships;
 Recognize the power of story and the danger of absence;
 Learn from and with multiple voices; and
 Amplify community solutions for change.

"It's time to construct new narratives and add them to the many varied, diverse perspectives that exist already — we need to interact with a diverse, globalized world as it currently is."
