on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 5PM

The event will kick-off with a short program, and then a lecture led by
André Leon Talley. 
An optional VIP wine reception with the awardee and book signing will immediately follow.

Lecture: $50 members, $75 non-members, $15 students.*
(All lecture tickets are fully tax-deductible.)

and book signing): $250.*

*All proceeds benefit the KMA’s exhibition and education fund. KMA is a 501c(3) organization.


André Leon Talley André Leon Talley is a legendary style icon and commentator whose dynamic personality and long career have embraced some of the biggest names in the fashion and magazine industry. An early protégé of Diana Vreeland who was also an assistant for Andy Warhol, Talley's work spans the worlds of art, design,and fashion. His new book, Oscar de la Renta: His Legendary World of Style, was recently published by Rizzoli.

The Himmel Award: The Katonah Museum of Art Himmel Award is named in honor of Betty Himmel, who was instrumental in defining the direction and mission of the Katonah Museum of Art and has served as an arts advocate and community leader for many years. The award recognizes creators, conceivers, radical thinkers and risk-takers who have demonstrated their ability to incite, excite and provoke new thinking in the arts.
