We provide resources to over 2,000 families in Western Massachusetts. Our organization serves our community as an Autism Center providing information and referral, parent-to-parent connections, support groups, family events, educational trainings, workshops, and recreational activities. We also provide direct services for eligible children and adults including behavioral intervention.

Temple Grandin

Autism and my Sensory Based World

Join us, along with event sponsor Radcliffe is the Reason and Arthur Too! on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Chez Josef in Agawam, MA as Temple Grandin discusses the importance of early intervention and education, helpful teaching methods such as teaching turn taking, manners, and basic skills, problems with sensory over sensitivity, how people with autism think to build on the child's strength, forming friendships when children engage in their specialized interests, and the importance of learning work skills.

The Conference will wrap up with Hear Our Voices, a panel discussion where a group of young adults with autism will talk about their experiences and reflect on their lives. Joanne Odato-Staeb will facilitate the discussion. Ms. Odato-Staeb has provided consultation to educational programs, families and individuals with disabilities for over 25 years. Her aim is to help people with autism learn, grow and develop to the fullest extent possible.
