Join fellow Master Recyclers and Washington County Solid Waste & Recycling Program and City of Beaverton staff in the second of quarterly potlucks, socials and meetings. The casual program includes a guest speaker, a fun get-to-know-you activity, updates and annoucements for the greater-good.
Speaker: Master Recycler Sanne Stienstra, class 60 -- Food Waste Prevention by Grocers in the U.K. Sanne will discuss food waste in the U.S. grocery retail and brand manufacturing sectors. In her graduate school research at the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, Sanne looked into whether a voluntary food waste reduction agreement among industry in the United Kingdom could serve as a model for companies in the U.S. to reduce food waste in their business. Sanne will talk about her interviews with members of the voluntary agreement and her findings when comparing the U.S. and U.K. situations.

There is a parking in the garage accessed from SW Millikan Way or the lot just north of the Beaverton Building.
