PROGRAM FOR EDUCATORS

Please join us for an important program about the opiate crisis and how we can prevent further deaths. Herion addiction and related death has become an epidemic in Massachusetts. According to the Boston Globe, "On average, more than two people a day died of apparent heroin overdoses in Massachusetts in the first three months of this year — and that does not include fatalities in the state’s three biggest cities of Boston, Springfield, and Worcester, which keep records separately." ("In Boston Suburbs, Heroin Takes its Deathly Toll, Boston Globe, April 12, 2015, HERE.)

Dr. Ruth Potee is a Board Certified Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine Physician who works with physicians and communities to address the opiate crisis in Massachusetts.

An engaging and approachable speaker, Dr. Potee will discuss the pathways to addiction, prevention efforts, and tips for responding to the opiate crisis. You will walk away from this lecture feeling enlightened and empowered. This is a "must see" for educators!
