Iaido and Jojutsu with Sensei Phil Ortiz 

We are honored to present two special seminars with Sensei Phil Ortiz of New York Budokai. Sensei will be teaching a Jo (short staff) class Friday evening and Iai (sword) on Saturday afternoon.

Friday will be Jojutsu with emphasis on Shindo Muso Ryu techniques created to teach strategies for defeating sword wielding opponents with a staff.  

Saturday will be Iaido (drawing and cutting) based on a traditional swordsmanship as taught by Ryushin Shochi Ryu.  The forms transmitted by this style closely resemble the fighting techniques of the samurai.
