9:20 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.      Most Important Concepts of the Affordable Care Act
Rand Clark, President, Maine Insurance Benefits Group (MIBG)

During Rand Clark's presentation, you'll hear about how MIBG has adapted their services to meet the new challenges that businesses are likely facing in the brave new world of post-Health Care Reform. Greg Glynn, Account Executive, Nancy Marshall Communications (NMC)

This presentation from Greg Glynn, presenter, public relations and social media strategist for NMC, will focus on ways independent insurance advisors can use social media to generate business and build and maintain relationships with customers. The presentation will highlight the role social media can play as part of your brand strategy. Social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube will be discussed.

10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.   Break

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon  Present to Persuade
David Stearns, Dale Carnegie Maine

One of the most common business presentations is the presentation to persuade. Sales people always find themselves in the situation of trying to persuade their listeners to take action. This session addresses the challenges with this type of presentation. It uses the process of putting yourself in your listener's shoes in order to see their point of view. It reviews the importance of making your message clear, concise and easy to understand. You learn to incorporate the three elements of a superb persuasive presenter; earning the right to present on the topic, being excited about the topic and being eager to share the importance of your message with your listeners.
