“Payment Terms - There is more to it than Net 30”

Our Guest Speaker for our November 5th membership meeting is Robert J. Nahabit, C.P.M., CPP, CPPC.

He will discuss (in a very enlightening manner) the topic of Payment Terms. Issues that you should know about, some issues you may not be aware of and issues that your Accounts Payable would rather you not hear about (so bring them along, both you and they will be glad you did). He will discuss some common costly, but hidden mistakes regarding paying invoices. Learn how to generate additional revenue for your firm with early payment, a powerful tool when used correctly. You (and A/P) would be surprised with the results that can be generated. A better understanding by all parties (including your suppliers, so bring them along too) will benefit all concerned.

Mr. Nahabit, Retired President of Nahabit & Associates, Inc., a training firm dedicated to the advancement of the purchasing profession.

He was certified by ISM back in 1975 and holds a “Lifetime Certification” as a C.P.M., Certified Purchasing Manager. He also holds “Lifetime Certifications” as a CPP, Certified Purchasing Professional and CPPC, Certified Purchasing Professional Consultant, which was awarded by the American Purchasing Society. He has been a member of ISM since 1971, a Past President and Lifetime Member of both Los Angeles and Austin affiliates of ISM. He is also the author of The Purchasing Handbook for Small Business. Mr. Nahabit has been training purchasing / supply management staffs for more than 35 years and has now retired.
